Infographics

In this section, you’ll find resources focused on helping you create your infographics.

Creating An Infographic

Infographics make complex information easy to understand.

These tips can help you get started designing and producing your infographic.

  • Choose a type of infographic. Is its statistical or does it show a process? Is it a flow chart, comparison, or timeline? Does it tell a story?
  • Pick meaningful colors. Colors serve an aesthetic and practical purpose in infographic design. They can highlight different data or emphasize important text. You should take care to choose colors that help you tell the story you want to visualize.
  • It is best to use a maximum of three different fonts. Choose fonts that match with your topic. Save decorative fonts for titles and headers.
  • Pair icons with labels. Ensure the icons you use have a consistent style, and a consistent size.
  • Use concise, direct language and keep text to a minimum.
  • Use white space to off-set text and/or visual components.
